SnowSkool Instructor Courses in Canada
Sunshine Village, Banff
Banff is well-known as a Canadian ski and snowboard Mecca for snow enthusiasts from all around the world and is the ideal location for gap year ski instructor courses and gap year snowboard instructor courses. It attracts a lot of young people keen to take advantage of the wonderful array of skiing / snowboarding and to make the most of the stunning scenery and amazing infrastructure of this Rocky Mountain resort town. Averaging 10 metres of snow each year, Sunshine Village receives more snow than any other major resort in Canada and has the longest ski season running from mid-November until mid-May. Banff also has a buzzing nightlife with plenty of bars, nightclubs, pubs and lounges - more than 165 all up! The SnowSkool Banff ski and snowboard instructor courses appeal to all walks of life but are a firm favourite for those looking to become a ski instructor or to become a snowboard instructor on a gap year after school or university.
THE 12-WEEK COURSE
SnowSkool has extended its ski instructor courses and snowboard instructor courses from 11 weeks to 12 weeks, making them the longest instructor courses available! The primary motivation for this is to ensure students make the most of Sunshine Village’s long snow season. You get the opportunity to run up more mileage on your skis / snowboard, have more time to free-ski / free-ride, practice your drills and exam techniques, check out other ski hills nearby (Lake Louise, Kicking Horse, Fernie etc) and to obtain more ski instructor qualifications and snowboard instructor qualifications: CSIA Snowpark Certificate, CASI Park Instructor, CSCF Race Coach, Avalanche Awareness Certificate.
