Short Snowboard Instructors Course
Early-season, 3-week snowboard instructors course
SnowSkool’s fast track snowboard instructors’ course runs out of Sunshine Village in Banff, one of Canada’s most snow sure resorts. This allows our students to kick off the season in style with some of Canada’s finest, freshest early season powder before most people have even thought about packing their bags!
So whether you’re just looking to make the most of your holiday or planning on taking your first steps towards a career as a snowboard instructor, this is a great opportunity to both hugely improve your riding and to gain a valuable professional qualification. A full season pass is included in the price of the course too, so if you want to carry on working and shredding afterwards, you can! There really is no finer place than Banff for a short course, this lively mountain town has it all; awesome terrain, great nightlife, and a super friendly atmosphere.

Who goes on this course?

This is SnowSkool's shortest snowboard instructor course in Canada and so those signing up need to be strong riders ... you need to be able to ride comfortably on all on-piste terrain and in most conditions.
The early-season crew is normally made up of those who are looking to stay for the full season in Canada or those who are taking a three-week holiday to work on their snowboarding.
Finally, everyone who does our short courses wishes they could have stayed longer ... can you stretch to a longer course? Check out SnowSkool's other snowboarding instructor courses.
Snowboard Instructors' Qualifications
CASI Level 1 Snowboard INstructor

We need to put you through your paces and train you to CASI Level 1 standard in just 3 weeks. Luckily SnowSkool has some of Canada’s most experienced and highly-qualified snowboard instructors to achieve this! As a result, our track record couldn't be much better - 100% pass rate going back seven years.
The CASI Level 1 is an entry-level qualification but it still allows you to work as snowboard instructor in countries such as Andorra, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Japan, UK and the USA. For those less interested in the qualification, training to become a snowboard instructor is one of the best ways to ensure sound technical progress with your riding.

SnowSkool Case Study
Dan Cockerill, 22, SnowSkool Banff 2009

Dan works for his family’s business (Birmingham’s finest cake makers) and he felt that the three-weeker was ideal as a break to improve his riding and get his Level 1 qualification. This he duly achieved and back to a huge vat of flour, milk and butter he returned...although, with a spring in his step!
