Party Time!SKI INSTRUCTOR COURSE, THREE VALLEYS
Intensive Ski Training in the World’s Largest Ski Area
SnowSkool has teamed up with Parallel Lines, (a British Ski School based in Meribel) to offer you the ultimate BASI ski instructor courses. All ski instructors assigned to the SnowSkool programme are BASI ISTD ski instructors – the highest level available in the BASI system. The ski instructor training schedule has been designed to maximise your time on the slopes of the Three Valleys, the world’s largest ski area. The SnowSkool BASI ski instructor course will devote seven hours per day to your training. Along with the Ski School work experience element of the course that is necessary to obtain your BASI Level 2 ski instructor qualification, the SnowSkool course will also cover mountain safety courses, race training, piste performance, bumps clinics, steep slope techniques, off piste skiing, freestyle and much more.
We truly believe that the SnowSkool BASI ski instructor course offers the most comprehensive ski training schedule and, more than any other course, gives you hands-on experience of life as a ski instructor. SnowSkool’s 11 week ski instructor training course will allow you to live and breathe the life of a seasonnaire and enjoy the delights of living in France. On the course you will be staying in the French village of Chandon in Meribel and, after just a few days here, you will be treated like one of the locals.

Who goes this ski course?

The SnowSkool ski instructor course in the Three Valleys has people ranging from 18-50(ish) - although the average age tends to be around 24 years old. For Australian's, this ski instructor training programme provides a great opportunity to ski those far-off European mountains!
The Three Valleys instructor programme has the strictest entry requirements of all SnowSkool's courses. The BASI Level 1 exam takes place in week 2 and so we expect you to turn up as a very strong skier. Don’t stress the technique too much (we can iron things out there) but you need to be happy to ski, with good speed and control, all types of on-piste terrain. Because we expect you to graduate this course with your instructor qualifications and Ski School experience, a career as a ski instructor is the next logical step.
Got this far and you're within touching distance of going on our Three Valleys instructor course ... or do you want to check out another SnowSkool ski instructor course.
Ski Instructor Qualifications
British Association of Snowsport Instructors

The SnowSkool Three Valleys ski instructor course includes training for two ski instructor exams - BASI level 1 and BASI level 2 - as well as a first aid qualification (British Association of Snowsports Patrollers First Aid). You also have to complete the BASI Child Protection Module as well as logging 70 hours of Ski School experience. So you can see that to train as a BASI ski instructor takes commitment - and that's just how BASI like it ... they didn't get authorisation for their members to work as ski instructors in France by sending out half-baked ski teachers.
As well as developing your all-mountain skiing, you will also complete training in race and freestyle skiing.

SnowSkool Case Study
Tim Saunders, 24, SnowSkool Three Valleys, 2011 (& 2012).

“I wanted to do a ski instructor course and wanted to get to Level 2 on the BASI system but just could not get 11 weeks off work. I put this to SnowSkool expecting them to say that they were unable to help - Phil told me he’d look into pricing and warned me that it would be more expensive. On the downside, it was more expensive ... but having gained my Level 1, I can't wait to get out there again next year!”
