SKI INSTRUCTOR TRAINING IN BIG WHITE
Small Community Feel With Big Mountain Experience
The SnowSkool Big White ski instructor course was developed in conjunction with the Ski School at Big White and is overseen by Josh Foster, CSIA Board Member and a member of the Canadian Interski Team. We use a rolling pool of ski instructors to teach the SnowSkool program with all instructors either seasonned CSIA Level 3 ski instructors or CSIA Level 4 ski instructors. And with five hours of tuition per day, five days per week (no ski instructor course offers more tuition), your skiing will improve beyond your wildest dreams. As well as the daily lessons, SnowSkool Big White students benefit from specialist training in powder skiing, bumps, freestyle and race technique.
In six seasons of SnowSkool programs in Big White, we have a 100% pass rate for the CSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor exam and a pass rate of 91% for the CSIA Level 2 Ski Instructor exam.
The SnowSkool ski instructor course in Big White is like no other course - all students are housed in luxurious ski-in / ski-out apartments with private hot-tubs, swimming pools and gyms. Great skiing and great living in Canada’s largest ski-in/ ski-out village!

Who goes on this ski course?

The SnowSkool ski instructor training course at Big White attracts a variety of age groups - usually from 18 up to 55 and beyond! Why is this? We think it's largely down to the SnowSkool accommodation – luxury ski-in/ ski-out apartments, each with a private hot-tub and swimming pool and gym in the complex. But there's also the snow ... it can often be skier’s first taste of deep powder-snow!! And finally, the terrain at Big White also lends itself to dramatic improvements in your skiing. So whether you're interested in gaining your ski instructor qualifications or simply improving your skiing, Big White would be an excellent choice for a ski instructor training course.
If that's not enough, the Ski School at Big White has employed a heap load of SnowSkoolers after their course - after all, what better way to get to know someone than see them on an eleven-week ski instructor training course?
Big White's for you - right? If not, see where else you can become a ski instructor with SnowSkool.
Ski Instructor Qualifications
CSIA Level 1 & Level 2 Ski Instructor

The CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance) oversees the ski instructor exams that students on SnowSkool's Big White ski instructor training course train for. The CSIA has four levels of ski instructor and after a long consultation period named them : Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4! Instructor trainees on the SnowSkool Big White ski instructor training course will aim to leave with Levels 1 & 2.
On top of this there are two other ski qualifications achievable on this course - the CSCF Race Coach – allowing you to go on and teach ski racing techniques and the CSIA Snowpark Certificate for excellence in freestyle skiing/ teaching.

SnowSkool Case Study
