SnowSkool Instructor Courses in New Zealand
Treble Cone, New Zealand
Treble Cone offers arguably the best skiing and snowboarding in NZ, if not the southern hemisphere. With diverse terrain and NZ’s highest lift-served skiing, you can be sure of some wonderful skiing or snowboarding during your SnowSkool ski instructor course or snowboard instructor course. Students will live in the beautiful town Wanaka - by any measure, one of the coolest places on earth! The training program, leading to the qualifications of the NZSIA (New Zealand Ski Instructors Association) or SBINZ (Snowboard Instructors of New Zealand), is very rigorous and SnowSkool recommends a minimum of five weeks prior on-snow experience.
SOUTHERN SKIING?
Train between July and September, start working in November!
With established ski instructor courses and snowboard instructor courses in the northern hemisphere (Banff and Big White in Canada and the Three Valleys in France) it was obvious SnowSkool needed a skiing and snowboarding between April and November. While we in Australia are used to hitting the slopes in the middle of the year, it is something of a novelty for SnowSkoolers from the northern hemisphere. We felt many people would be keen to undertake their ski instructor or snowboard instructor training in the middle of the year and so we looked to the southern hemisphere to get our fix! In choosing Treble Cone Ski Resort on New Zealand’s south island, we applied our same thorough criteria: great snow, diverse terrain, a solid transport network, luxury accommodation, a wonderful community and yummy, nutritious meals. We think we have done pretty well!
