Marion may not have graduated SnowSkool herself but she is the mother of a graduate from the 2007 programme in Banff - she was so impressed, she joined the company! A good technical skier, Marion is always the last one down the hill to ensure she keeps the number of knee reconstructions at just the two. Marion has been skiing forever and can boast having skied 48 resorts across five continents. Her aim is to ski a resort starting with every letter of the alphabet - she's still missing ones starting with I, N, Q, U, X and Y. With a long career in advertising and marketing, organiser extraordinaire and travel devotee, Marion is SnowSkool's rep in Oz.
CSIA Level 1 & 2 Instructor
CASI Level 1 Instructor
Having left the world of investment banking, Phil set up SnowSkool with a small loan from the old man, JJ Purdie, who is now the Company Secretary. After a decade of snowboarding all over the world, including two full seasons in Canada, Phil switched back to skis and loves the speed and freedom it offers. After six full seasons in Canada, skiing or riding in excess of 25 resorts, Phil has developed a real love for Western Canada and is most happy touring somewhere in the backcountry. It is this adventurous spirit that spurs him on to look for new challenges and discover Canada’s next “best-kept secret”.

Laura is a graduate of the SnowSkool 2006 Banff programme where she picked up her CSIA Level 1 and Level 2 instructor exams as well as her CSCF Race Coach qualification. Aggressive skiing is not in her make-up but her graceful skiing and stunning good looks regularly attract admiring glances from the male populace in Banff. Because of her caring nature and administrative skills Laura’s primary role with SnowSkool is dealing with all customer enquiries: emails, phone calls and making sure that you are happy with every single detail of the course before arriving in Canada.

dunk@snowskool.co.uk
Since graduating from the first ever SnowSkool programme in Banff , Dunk has recently obtained the role of Operations Manager which sees him spending seven months per year in the Canadian or NZ winter. As an ex-paratrooper, Dunk’s organisational skills are second-to-none and lend themselves well to putting together a course focused on skiing and snowboarding but also one that ensures you make the most of your time in resort. An avid snowboarder – he lives and breathes the sport – and his park skills have developed to such an extent that SnowSkool now sponsors him to enter UK-based competitions.
