THE FOURTEEN WEEK COURSE

SnowSkool and the Ski & Snowboard School at Sunshine Village, Banff have a long-running friendship as we were the first company to operate ski and snowboard instructor training courses at the resort when we arrived back in 2003. Because we were the first, we got the pick of the snowboard and ski instructors and many of those same instructors remain with us today almost five years later. All are experienced CSIA/ CASI Level 3 instructors or Level 4 instructors. The quality of the instructors we employ, as well as the amount of tuition we provide and the diversity of the terrain at Sunshine Village, is why we have a pass rate of 100%!

The season-long Banff course has, beginning 2008/09 season, been extended from eleven to fourteen weeks. Our motivation for this was to ensure that people really made the most of their season out in Banff. Through giving students an additional three weeks for the instructor training course, they will have more time to get mileage on their skis/ snowboard, have the time to free-ski/ free-ride to practice drills & techniques, check out other hills nearby (Lake Louise, Kicking Horse, Mt Norquay) and have the time to train for and pick up other qualifications such as:

• CSIA Snowpark Certificate
• CASI Park Instructor
• CSCF Race Coach
• First Aid Qualification
• Avalanche Awareness Certificate

Our Most Popular Course

The SnowSkool Banff programme is our longest-running and most popular instructor training programme. Students love the perfect blend of hard work on slopes as well as the sense of adventure that life as a seasonnaire in Banff offers. Our reps work hard making sure you have the time of your life and off-slope activities include: football and basketball tournaments, ice-climbing, bingo bowling, DVD nights, bar crawls, ice-hockey matches, quiz nights, fancy dress parties, jam sessions in the on-site pub, casino nights, trips to the hot springs and much, much more.
